It's time to break the ten year curse — 

Hey all! It is I, Selene, here with another dev-log outlining the finishing touches for Re:Memorize Chapter 4 — Coming soon this October 2023!

So far, everything is going as planned! (surprisingly)

• The script for Chapter 4 is all coded into renpy, so all I have to do is look over the scenes and make sure everything is going smoothly in the engine. (This usually takes about 3 - 5 days depending on how much coffee I consume...)
• I'm currently halfway to finishing the second to last CG. The last CG for Chapter 4 won't take more than two weeks, I promise!
• The newest soundtrack — Messenger of the Stars - Yuen's Theme — will be added to the Re:Memorize OST. Beta Testers will have a chance to listen to it in the Extra gallery once unlocked!
• My editor is currently on hiatus, but the chapter is more or less how I want it. Sorry for the bad grammar in advance! 🙏 (lol)

Aaaaand... I think that's about it. If there are no bumps along the way, then I should roughly be finished around the third week of October.

Conclusion:

As I've stated in previous dev-logs — Chapter 4 is the beginning of the second arc in Re:Memorize.

Why is it called a 'second arc' you may ask?

Long story short — Ten years ago, I never finished writing the prototype storyline for Re:Memorize, leaving it unfinished in Chapter 4. I've attempted to write this chapter multiple times and failed with each try.

But finally, after many years, I've broken that curse and finished Chapter 4 (and the storyline in its entirety). After this, there is no prototype storyline. Everything beyond this point is brand new, straight from the heart.

So I want to give a huge thank you to all you amazing backers (friends, family, fellow artists, fellow indie devs, etc.) your support no doubt made Re:Memorize a reality.
